Proctor Academy's World Languages Department is currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated full-time Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year.
Essential attributes include experience, knowledge and/or willingness to learn about the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Standards and Proficiency levels, Acquisition-Driven Instruction, Content-Based Instruction, and Universal Design for Learning principles. Primary responsibilities include teaching three sections of Spanish, participating in the Weekend Team, involvement in Wilderness Orientation as a Support or Instructor, contributing to Project Period, and some combination of duties related to Housing/Evening Duty/Coaching (TBD).
The ideal candidate should also have a collaborative spirit; the ability and/or willingness to develop content-based, Acquisition-Driven units aligned with ACTFL standards; an interest in and curiosity about the Spanish-speaking world and its cultures; and enthusiasm for ongoing professional development.
